Cleansing balms are thick, creamy, oil-based formulas that deep-clean pores, melt away dirt, oil and moisturise your dry patches thanks to their emollient-rich solid oil formulation. Because of the nature of the product itself, clean cleansing balms are usually kind to both sensitive and acne-prone skin.
Similar to cleansing oil, cleansing balms are great at removing tough eye make-up, and usually go on to dry skin, before emulsifying with water and rinsing away as a milky residue. It’s these excellent make-up removing properties that make them a great first step in your double cleansing routine.
The double cleanse is the cleansing method Korean women (and men) use for clear skin. It involves washing your face in two steps, first by using an oil-based cleanser, followed by a water-based cleanser.
For most skin types, oil-based cleansers are gentler and better for the skin.
“Warm the product between your fingers and
apply to a dry face, even if you are
wearing makeup – a good balm should melt
your stubborn mascara. Gently massage the
balm in circular motions all over your face.
Wet a clean muslin cloth with hot
water, and wring the cloth damp.”

Remarkable. Multi purpose. Multi award-winning.
The Product was described by Vogue as ‘’probably the best cleanser in the world and is the foundation of our skincare regime.’’
This is a lovely soothing balm, it has so many benefits. It’s quite pricey, but feels so good on the skin, it’s hydrating, it decongests, exfoliates, tones, soothes and deeply cleanses away impurity’s.

This balm is ‘inclusive’ and I love it because the sensational formula is expertly balanced for all skin types, skin concerns and environmental conditions.
With its signature blend of four aromatic plant oils, the results are incredibly glowing, radiant skin with a smoother, more refined texture. The difference can be seen instantly and just keeps on improving with use.
